As an enraged spirit, take revenge upon the god who caused the death of a beloved one. Fight enemies and dash your way up the mountain as a golden corruption threatens to take over your home. This project was developed over 16 weeks, with Diablo as a key reference.


I contributed by creating concept art for the boss, VFX concept art for both player and boss abilities, and all animations for the popcorn, normal, healing and boss enemies.

Concept & VFX

Photoshop

In this project, I worked closely with both artists and technical artists to achieve a cohesive result. I created concepts that followed the established art style while continuously communicating and iterating on what worked best for the game, taking both visual and technical considerations into account.

Motion Capture

Xsens

For this project, I took an early role in working with motion capture. I performed and recorded the boss animations myself, followed by cleanup and refinement for in-game use.

Phase change

The boss has multiple phases, and this animation plays when transitioning into the final phase.

Death

The boss death animation, designed to emphasize impact and finality.

Summon enemy

During the boss fight our boss can summon popcorn enemies!

Popcorn Enemy

Idle

A subtle idle with small movements to give a sense of instability.

Walk

A slightly unsteady, zombie-like walk influenced by the corruption.

Attack

A bite attack with exaggerated motion. Be careful!

Normal Enemy

Idle

A simple idle animation before detecting the player.

Walk

Standard movement animation for navigation.

Attack

The normal enemy attacks using a bat. Watch out!

Healer Enemy

Idle

A simple idle with subtle motion.

Walk

A slower, more fragile walk, inspired by an elderly character.

Attack

The enemy channels energy through its wand to heal nearby allies.
